idea<DRIVER’s Green Leap program, is one of 23 Winning Teams for the U.S. Department of Energy's Community Energy Innovation Prize

idea<DRIVER, alongside partners itty Bit Better and Direct Rope, are thrilled to announce their collaborative effort, as a winning team for the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) Community Energy Innovation Prize's CONCEPT Phase in the Manufacturing Ecosystem Track. The team's submission, "Green Leap Riverside," was selected alongside 23 others from a competitive pool.

Green Leap Riverside focuses on empowering manufacturers through collaboration in Riverside County to adopt viable clean energy practices, upskill their workforce for future clean energy jobs, and create an enduring positive impact on the County’s economy and environment. The Green Leap program will receive $100,000 and in-kind mentorship to help propel Riverside County’s manufacturing sector towards a clean and prosperous future.

“Having grown up in Riverside and Banning, I cannot help but have a heartfelt devotion to making an impact here,” said Andrew Anson, CEO of idea<DRIVER. “Riverside County boasts robust manufacturing and supply chain sectors, but faces challenges in balancing growth with resources, energy demands, sustainability, and workforce needs. Our goal with Green Leap is to collaborate with the manufacturing community and address these challenges head-on.”

U.S. Department of Energy’s Community Energy Innovation Prize

The $7.49 million Community Energy Innovation Prize is an initiative designed to support local organizations working towards clean energy solutions in underserved communities. The prize is divided into three tracks: Clean Energy Ecosystem, Manufacturing Ecosystem, and Collegiate. Each track offers CONCEPT, PROGRESS, and IMPACT phases with prize awards and mentorship opportunities.
